Hot Topics in Employment Law for 2024

The presentation will focus on new state and federal laws that employers need to be aware of in 2024. In addition, it will include a review of recent actions by federal agencies (EEOC, DOL, FTC, etc.) that affect employers, so employers will be able to properly address these issues in their workplace through policies, education, and other relevant actions.

Lunch will be provided and is included in the price of the event. Event registration will close on Friday, January 19th, so we can provide an accurate headcount to catering.

About the Speaker

Rosemary Jones joined Brookshire Grocery Company in 2016 as its Executive V.P. – Chief People Officer/Legal where she oversees the following departments:  People & Culture, Training and Change Management, Communications, Risk Management (general liability and workers’ comp), Asset Protection/ Safety, and Legal. 

She has 27 years' experience as a trial lawyer with Strasburger & Price, LLP and Ramey & Flock, P.C.  practicing in state and federal courts in the areas of employment and labor law, health care and personal injury defense.  She is board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Labor & Employment Law and Personal Injury Trial Law.

Rosemary has developed an expertise in advising and defending employers in employment-related matters in state and federal court, as well as with state and federal agencies.
